Strawberries, Beddings, and Video Blogging

This weekend has been absolutely wonderful; I was completely surprised that we experienced such ideal conditions despite all of last week’s rain! While forecasters could have foretold this outcome, after so much darkness during previous days I wasn’t expecting the sun to return anytime soon. On Thursday was quite unexpected – Mia came home early from school after experiencing nausea during lunch time, which she never normally does due to having such a strong immune system. It was heartbreaking seeing her so pale and so sick, yet another sign that her immunity wasn’t quite up to par. Mia laid on the sofa all day watching movies until Friday came around when it finally ran its course and it finally passed her by. Elliw had an absolutely fantastic school trip to Aberystwyth on Friday and absolutely enjoyed herself. Additionally, this was very convenient since my partner could pick Elliw up at 6pm so we didn’t need to drag Mia out on a school run when she wasn’t feeling well.

Mia initially planned on spending her weekend at home, but she changed her mind on Saturday and decided to spend the night with her Dad instead. Unfortunately, this left me in an unpleasant mood the following morning as Freddie had experienced difficulty sleeping the previous evening. He’s fallen back into being an awful sleeper again, so I’m hoping things change very soon. To lighten my mood, I took a shower hoping it would do wonders; and it did indeed brighten things up; after which we headed straight out with no plans in mind and headed into town without knowing exactly where we were heading next. Just before arriving to Anglesey we spotted a “Pick Your Own Strawberries Farm”. Unfortunately we missed its entrance but planned to visit after lunch at a pub restaurant before making our way back out afterward – Elliw was so excited! Mia wasn’t with us this time around but we promised her we’d take her in two weeks’ time, we can’t wait!

I had long dreamed of strawberry picking, and was delighted to discover there was one so close by. Elliw absolutely enjoyed picking her own strawberries and placing them into her plastic basket – it was worth every penny for seeing her smiles of delight as we picked our own strawberries! If strawberry picking has never been your thing before I definitely suggest trying it and can’t wait until we go again next summer! After we finished strawberry picking we visited my grandparents, only my Nain was home; after visiting for two hours we headed home after chilling out time – we arrived home much later than anticipated but nonetheless it had been truly enjoyable day of fun and relaxation if we’d planned!
