As Christmas approaches, I’m counting down the days until it arrives – and now that we know we’ll be spending it at home is even more thrilling! Before then though, we have several exciting plans and special occasions coming up: Mia will turn eight years old in early December and we are staying in Bluestone again, which we all look forward to; her birthday falls on our second day there which makes this celebration that much sweeter for her and all of us too! It is one of our favourite places too.
Before we make our plans to Bluestone, we are getting ourselves ready for winter. Autumn is well underway and the days have become increasingly colder; every morning as we get ourselves ready for school run is colder and colder; but I love getting my big cosy coats back out again – although now the sun has set, and temperatures have become much chillier outside, I still try and spend as much time outside with the children; after all Freddie could live outside for days if given the chance! He truly adores being outside.
At our home during autumn and winter days, we enjoy going on walks along the rails or beautiful country side trails. If the temperature becomes too cold for this, however, we tend to stay inside, although I still love taking walks while the kids use up some energy by running freely around a route.
