Since January I’ve found myself sitting down each evening or when Freddie is napping during the day to focus on my blog and ask the same question: Will I ever stop blogging?” To be completely honest with myself, blogging has become such an integral part of my life that it is hard for me to see myself living without it; from taking photos every morning when Freddie napped to editing them during evenings or on days when there wasn’t time, to receiving emails daily from brands/PRs about products to take and reviewing stats as often as I possibly could and of course all my wonderful blogging friends;
At first glance, blogging may appear to be nothing more than an amusement. Many don’t understand what the blogging world entails; some consider it attention seeking and others think it pointless; yet many continue reading blogs – a thankless task indeed for us bloggers and I am forever thankful for every reader and follower I’ve met through these five years!
I started this blog as an outlet to record memories from time spent with the girls and my partner, until it evolved into my weekly pregnancy updates during my third gestation – including how I felt, scan results and hospital appointments – something I didn’t do during either of my prior two pregnancies. Looking back through those posts now makes me so pleased to have these records for future reference; something which wasn’t available with either pregnancy!
My blog has given me so many opportunities that I never would have imagined would come my way when I first started. While reviewing products was something I expected, but being able to work with brands I adore such as Cosatto, Asda George, AO.com and Johnsons is truly rewarding and gives me great joy – though not in comparison with all of their amazing bloggers out there – making me truly feel accomplished as an independent self-employed blogger! Working with these brands fills me with pride as it shows I am doing something right – something many other massive successful bloggers out there could never accomplish!
