Parenting can be an immense challenge; no day is ever exactly alike. From tantrums and tears, to smiles and cuddles – parenthood can be hard but worth the struggle! However, as much as we all adore our children, parents need some time alone – whether that be shopping alone, cinema dates with friends, or simply going for tea and cake with no interruption! Parenthood may require sacrifice on our parts but its worth every moment spent doing it!
As is often the case, I had difficulty with letting go of my third child and leaving him with anyone. Perhaps my difficulties stemmed from breastfeeding him as well as him being my last born. If anyone tried to look after him other than me, then tears and grief ensued and I desperately missed him and wanted him back with me as soon as possible. After his first outing when my partner took him for a walk I remember breaking down in tears when my partner took him for his walk; thereafter it has been difficult letting anyone even hold or leave my baby let alone leave him behind with others.
As time passed, I started to struggle balancing family life and work life. If you follow me then you may know that I work from home as well as being a stay at home parent; my partner works 40+. For approximately one year Freddie struggled with sleeping both daytime and nighttime; although as each month passed he did get better; yet at that moment in time I could only see darkness ahead; my relationship suffered immensely as a result of it all.
