Woodland Trust’s My Tree Our Forest Initiative

To help combat climate change, every household in Wales has the option to either plant their own trees or to have them planted for them. The Woodland Trust and the Welsh Government are working together on this project. This is an opportunity for all of us to come together and fight climate change.

Five regional hubs in Wales, including Llanrwst, will be offering the first free trees by March 2022.

You can also wait until November 20, 2022, when thousands more trees will be available for pick-up and planting at over 20 hubs in Wales. You can order trees for delivery or, if you do not have enough space to plant them yourself, they will be planted on your behalf.

No need to be worried if you have never planted a plant before. You will receive easy to follow instructions for planting your tree correctly and carefully. Also, to ensure your tree gets off to the best possible start. Planting trees will help them grow, store carbon, and fight climate change. They also provide support for wildlife.

You can help the National Forest for Wales by taking care of your own tree. The National Forest for Wales aims to create an interconnected network of woodlands throughout the country.
