When I found out that I was pregnant with a boy at 14 weeks, I was ecstatic. The words could not describe how happy I was. I have always wanted a son, or a boy. Of course, my love for my two daughters will never diminish and I’ll always love them. But having a son is so different. I heard a lot of different things when I was pregnant with Freddie. Boys are a handful and boys don’t understand danger. I agree completely with them and Freddie is worse than my girls who have never seen danger.
We visited a place named Penmaenmawr in the last few weeks. It was a place my Dad took my brother and me when we were young. I loved being able to create my own memories with my children. Mia unfortunately was at her Dad’s house that day, but we plan to return soon. We decided to go along the beachfront as a last-minute decision because we wanted to walk. Freddie is a real menace, and he will run in the opposite direction. I bought him some reins a few days earlier from Trunki. He was a little reluctant at first, but eventually got used to them.
He was hilarious. He was full of giggles and kept trying to go the other way in order to catch up his sister Elliw. Both children loved the park. They were both happy to leave the park, but neither was excited when we did. However, they were back in the park having fun as soon as we went a bit further. It’s a five-year age difference between Freddie and Elliw, and they are both so different. Elliw fears dogs, whereas Freddie loves them. He laughs at them so much. He kept pointing at a dog on our walk, and tried to get up close to it. The dog was friendly, and the owners didn’t mind. He stroked the puppy and it gave him a big lick – Freddie’s face was hilarious. He was in shock. It was lovely to see Freddie so comfortable with animals.
I still find it strange that we now have a baby boy at home, but he is an amazing little brother and son.
