Last year, we spent a long weekend in Haven and it was a great experience for us all. Although it was Freddie’s first holiday, we enjoyed the change of scenery and it didn’t seem too close. We decided to book this same caravan for our next stay because my partner knew the owners from his job and it seemed like a good idea to stay during Freddie’s 1st birthday. It was the best choice we could have made. It was perfect.
We arrived on a friday and stayed until the following Monday. We arrived in Haven at around 5pm on a normal Friday. The girls were still going to school. The same dates were booked by our friends for a long-weekend at Haven. They were all excited to meet their friend, who is also their eldest child. It was great to spend the evenings together with my partner, the children and them. We went to the club on Friday night to see the entertainment for families. We ended up at arcades because the girls kept asking us to. Freddie went to bed around 8pm, but woke just as we were about to return to the caravan around 10pm. He went back to bed about an hour later.
It rained on and off throughout Saturday. But that didn’t stop the girls from having a great time. I spent a lazy day with Freddie while the girls went swimming with my partner. I decided to remain in the caravan for Freddie’s regular nap. He slept for just over an hour and not his normal morning nap. It was fun to clean (on holiday!). I also had some chill time by myself. We went to the park with my partner and the girls, had lunch in the caravan, and then headed out again. We went out because my uncle and cousin were over for the day. It was lovely. They are both so loved by the girls. Except for my uncle, Freddie, and myself, they all rode the pedal boats. They went back into the park and played for a while before moving to the opposite side, near the entertainment area. The girls were happy to play at the part of the park where water springs from the ground. They had a lot of fun.
