Recently, we were invited to a new restaurant located in Rhyl. Cookhouse & Pub, located at the seafront in Rhyl, opened its doors in February 2018. It is popular in the summer and all year round with its fairs and amusements. When I was a child, I would go there with my father and brother. I have many fond memories of this place and I’ve also taken my children there a few time. I was eager to go back, spend a whole day there and try the new restaurant.
Cookhouse & Pub has 6 restaurants across the country. It’s a modern-looking restaurant, which I really liked. The decor was beautiful, from the outside signs to the interior details. We had a reservation for 1pm Sunday. The lady took us directly to our table after a warm welcome. We liked being seated by the window because we could watch people pass. The restaurant was bright and airy with large windows.
I noticed that a few of the tables were already reserved. It was Sunday, and I had a few hours left before lunch. I was excited to try their food. We were not seated for long before the lady who served came to us. She took our drinks orders while we continued to look at the menu.
The menu was very diverse. The food was different from other restaurants of the same type, which I enjoyed. The choice was excellent. There were only three starter options, so I decided to opt for the main and pudding instead.
